George Beecher from Strates Shows

Behind 100 Years of Strates Shows Success: A Showman. George Beecher has been part of the Strates Shows family since 1981. At the Erie County Fair he can be seen working out of our Road Office assisting with tickets, accounting and promotions. A native of Syracuse, George became fascinated with the carnival world as a child while visiting the New York State Fair and catching a peek at the Strates Shows train in a nearby railyard. Deciding he’d like to make the business his profession, he went on to work for Ringling Brothers and the Clyde Beatty/Cole Brothers Circuses before E. James Strates asked him to join the Show. He has been with us ever since.
